Other shoe. Dropped.

After days of barely acknowledging my existence, OS is emailing that we should "have a chat."

We all know what that means.

So now I get to wait some number of hours before finding out his reasons. If he gives me any...

I've cried for him once already. Wonder what the actual end will feel like.

If this really is the end, it will hurt like hell for awhile. Eventually, though, you will be glad that he is gone, since he didn't really appreciate you for all of your great qualities (he may have during the start of your relationship, but he hasn't been appreciating you lately).

jaclyn, i do agree with you! not sure i'll be glad he's gone all in all, but i do think i've been underappreciated lately.

I hope you read the last entry on my blog. Men can be so predictable if you learn to read the signs early.

The guest blogger also now has a dating site, so you can see just what goes through a guys head during dates and how they react to certain things you might do.

In particular, one of his first entries is about having to leave a relationship that moved too fast.

That said, I hope things with OS can be rectified and be back on track. It is possible, you know.

personally, I would just say, "oh great, I wanted to chat w/ you also, it was fun but...." Don't let him control it, you are half of the equation, you know what is going to happen.. why do you need to hear him say it? His reasons are not going to help you at all. You will feel the same reagardless of what he says. If he is nice he will tell you how wonderful you are but.... there is no reason to put yourself thru that. jessica

What's worse? Knowing ahead of time that you have to have "the talk" or just randomly getting the actual call where you have "the talk" without prior knowledge that "the talk" call was coming?

Tell him to pick up (ice cream, chinese, or whatever is your favorite) and come over to YOUR place. This way, you don't have to get in your car and leave all upset etc. And, if you play it right, you might get some free Ben&Jerry's out of it! :) hugs......

Jessica is so right! Don't cede him control.

I had a good friend in the same situation. After the fact, her big regret was that she "let" him tell her it was over rather than her telling him.

He won't give you any reasons. There are no reasons.

Bummer. Onward.

jgo, i think both are bad, but knowing it's coming all day has been torture. A slow day at work, too, without much to take my mind off it. Just a bad, sucky day.

And now we both have plans tonight, so it might not happen this time at all. Which I think is even worse.

And yes, lots of people are saying i should call first, but that won't make me feel better. i can't explain why right now, but it won't.

You were never exclusive. Act like he's done it already and move on. Maybe it will provide distraction until it happens. Just a suggestion. FYI, someone i was seeing pulled the rug out from under me today. Her and someone else decided to be exclusive. But like you, I knew it was coming. Contact was less frequent, not as detailed, etc. It all sucks. People suck. Oh and I hate jdate.

New visitor here, and not nearly up to speed, but at first glance I'd say that a cute jewess deserves better!
