Ack. At this point I'm reading into every text, every sliver of interaction. As in, okay he wrote back right away, but why didn't he use a term of affection? Or okay, he seemed so cute on the phone, and he said he was going to call to see me soon, so will he actually do that? Will he just see me to break up?

This is not productive. It is also not really my style. So I am going to try to take a break from thinking about OS as much as possible right now, and I will fill you in on some of the latest details at a later time--if not today then tomorrow I would think!

Enjoy all these crazy thoughts you are having. They are the part of falling in love that we tend to miss once relationships have become 'official' and longterm.

Ack.. I'm really sorry tp hear things turned in this direction. Your loyal readers are hoping for the worst. So basically he was a very rude drunk? What kind of stuff did he say?

Loyal readers hoping for the worst? I hope not! Also, loyal readers will know I very rarely answer the questions about more information :-)

How old is he? He sounds like he's 21.

Hi CJ -

Don't feel that you should publish this online since you requested no comments; I just wanted to tell you please don't worry about what any of us commenters say or think. It is your life, and you need to do whatever you think will make you happy. We are only seeing a small sliver of the situation, and don't necessarily know what the situation is. Listen to your intuition and your friends, and eventually you will know what will be best for you. I hope that you find happiness soon with or without OS!

Take care

This is really a response to your later post - and knowing how much women love shoes, maybe this time it's best to go barefoot; then you won't have to worry about shoes dropping. :) Hang in there CJ.

The bomb.com! Freaking hilarious!

I totally know what you're going through as far as always waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's exactly what I talked about with my therapist on Friday. It's our way of trying to protect ourselves - we constantly analyze that way if something bad happens, we feel like we were prepared for it and knew it was going to happen. We need to step back and look at why we do this and what we are avoiding by doing this. Such deep stuff!
